Who is Marilyn Mosby’s ex-husband, Nick?
Nick Mosby is a politician from Baltimore, Maryland, who has been president of the Baltimore City Council since 2020.
In 2011, he was elected to the City Council where he passed legislation to ban the requirement of criminal records on job applications.
Mosby also introduced and passed legislation to stop liquor stores from selling merchandise to minors, per his City Council page.
He, like his estranged wife, came to national prominence in 2015 during the protests after the death of Freddie Gray.

In 2017, Mosby was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates, before being elected as City Council President in November 2020.
A $45,000 tax lien was filed against the property of Mosby and his wife for three years of unpaid federal taxes in October 2020, according to WMAR2.
The ABC affiliate also reported that the Mosbys failed to pay federal taxes from 2014 through 2016.
According to Fox Business, the Mosbys each issued statements saying that they were having ongoing conversations with the IRS.

"I have been in ongoing conversations with the IRS for five years about the tax consequences of an early withdrawal from my retirement savings plan, which I did to support unplanned expenses after a series of family tragedies," the Mosbys' said in their statements.
"I expect to have the issue resolved in the coming days."
The Baltimore Brew revealed that Mosby's consulting company was sharing its address with the offices of one of his major contributors.
That same month, The Brew also reported that Mosby partly owned a rental property that was unregistered with the city.
The property was also not listed as lead-certified, per the report.
Mosby's co-signator on the mortgage argued that Mosby had no direct involvement in the renting of the home or evictions from it.
When did Marilyn and Nick get divorced?
In 2005, Mosby married Marilyn Mosby, who was an assistant state's attorney in Baltimore at the time.
Marilyn went on to serve as the State's Attorney from 2015 to 2023.
On July 21, 2023, the Mosbys issued a joint statement saying that they were ending their 17-year marriage.
"After careful consideration and much prayer, we have decided to end our marriage," the statement said.
"We want to emphasize our commitment as strong co-parents moving forward."
Marilyn filed for divorce that same day.

The couple asked for the public to respect their privacy, particularly for their daughters, according to the statement announcing their separation.

They share two daughters named Aniyah and Nylyn Mosby.
Little is known about the pair's daughters as they mostly stay out of the public eye.
