Who is Brianna Pinnix?
Brianna Pinnix is a 30-year-old woman who was filmed making xenophobic comments toward a group of German tourists on a train headed to New York City.
As the Daily Mail reported on October 4, 2023, Pinnix — who appeared to be intoxicated while standing over the tourists— is heard saying in the video: "Are you German or something?"
She added: "What did you say? No, tell me what you said."
She later said: "I'm not gonna let f***ing immigrants take over our country."

Throughout the encounter, a man who appears to be Pinnix's partner tried to comfort her and diffuse the situation.
He said, in part: "Brie, do not do this, you're gonna get arrested."
Pinnix said: "I love you, but get off me."
He added: "Stop this right now, go sit down or I'm never going to talk to you again."

Once Pinnix headed back to her seat her partner told her: "I'm an immigrant. You know I'm an immigrant too, you know that right?"
Pinnix responded: "Yeah … but I’m responsible for you so it’s okay."
She later got back up out of her seat and said to the tourists: "How about you get the f*** out of our country."
After receiving backlash for that xenophobic comment, she asked an unidentified train-goer if they knew "what the f***" one of the tourists said to her.
It's uncertain what led to the confrontation or what comments were made to Pinnix.

New Jersey Transit told the DailyMail.com that the company "strongly condemns any behavior of this type" and that its customers are "encouraged to report incidents of this nature to train crew members, or they can reach out to NJ TRANSIT Police."
The transportation company also said that it is investigating the incident but could not immediately confirm if it took place on one of the line's trains.
According to the Daily Mail, Pinnix received her bachelor's degree in communications and media studies from Marymount Manhattan College.
Per the New York Post, her Facebook page said that she graduated from the school in 2015 and is from Mahwah, New Jersey.
Where did Brianna Pinnix work?
As reported by the Daily Mail, Pinnix worked as a senior talent acquisition specialist at Captial RX, according to her since-deleted LinkedIn account.
Prior to joining Capital RX, she worked for InterQuest Group between 2019 and 2022 and at Green Key Resources between March 2017 and April 2019, per the outlet.
What happened to Brianna Pinnix?
After the video went viral, Pinnix was fired from her job.
On October 4, 2023, a Capital RX spokesperson told the New York Post: "Our company has a zero-tolerance policy around prejudicial or discriminatory behavior.

"After conducting a review of the circumstances, we acted immediately and terminated the employee in question.
"The former employee’s actions and words are not representative of Capital Rx, and we offer our sincerest apology to those who were hurt."
