When is the Veterans Day parade?
On Friday, November 11, 2022, the largest celebrations of veterans in America will take place in New York City.
Assembly for the parade will begin at 8am ET, with the traditional opening ceremony taking place at Madison Square Park.
The parade is set to kick off around noon, and will go until around 3.30pm to 4pm ET.
This is the 103rd annual Veterans Day parade.

"These milestones represent critical moments in our nation's history when brave men and women made great sacrifices to defend our country," said the president of the United War Veterans Council, Mark Otto.
"We know that New Yorkers are eager to show their support for all of our veterans, and to welcome the parade back to Fifth Avenue."
What is the Veterans Day parade route?
The parade will take place on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
The parade will start off at 26th Street and Fifth Avenue and continue north on Fifth Avenue.

2022's Grand Marshal will be Vince M Patton III, the 8th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard.
He is the first African-American to step into the honorable position.
The parade will feature the US Coast Guard, and will honor every service branch like every year.

For New York locals, the parade can viewed live on Fifth Avenue.
Spectators can also watch the parade broadcast live on TV and online via WABC.

What other places have a Veterans Day parade?
While New York is home to the largest Veterans Day celebration, other cities and states also take part in the holiday with parades of their own.
A parade took place on November 5 in Erie, Pennsylvania, and on November 10 in Columbus, Ohio.
Texas cities Houston and Dallas also plan on holding parades on November 11.
Philadelphia also held a parade on November 6, 2022, to honor their local veterans.
