#Cleavagegate. Piers Morgan and Susan Sarandon got into a hilarious Twitter battle over the actress’ SAG Awards outfit, which put her enviable cleavage on display.
“Would Susan Sarandon wear this to a funeral? No. It was thus horribly inappropriate for an In Memoriam tribute,” Morgan tweeted on February 3, along with a photo of her risque, asset-baring ensemble of a white blazer with a black bra top and no blouse from January 30.
The 69-year-old actress, who presented the In Memoriam segment during the awards show, had the perfect response.

“Today’s #TBT is dedicated to @piersmorgan,” Sarandon tweeted on Thursday, February 4, along with a throwback photo of herself in a white bra while starring in the 1975 cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

“Today’s #TBT is dedicated to @SusanSarandon,” Morgan then replied, tweeting a Photoshopped picture of himself shirtless and draped in velvet and wearing a Burger King medallion.
Their Twitter battle sparked fans to defend the actress. The Oscar-winner retweeted her followers’ own cleavage photos on Thursday afternoon.
After getting bombarded with #Cleavagegate snaps, Piers later clarified his comments. “Just for the record, @SusanSarandon, I think your cleavage is magnificent. I’d just keep it hidden for ‘In Memoriam’ tributes. Love Piers x,” he tweeted.
