Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio is known for taking pride in his appearance. But now we know what he looks like without spending 25 minutes to gel his hair — and he’s getting a lot of positive feedback from his followers.
In a Tweet on Wednesday, June 12, the former Jersey Shore reality star shared a rare snap of himself without any gel in his hair. In the shirtless photo, the 38-year-old kept his dark shiny locks pulled back using a headband as he showed off his beard and mustache stubble and glowing skin.
“Haters Will Say It’s Sweat, No Gel, Beard, Chest Hair, Outside :)” he wrote in the Tweet.
A lot — read: most — people thought this low-maintenance look was, well, better. Much better!

It wasn’t just his hair fans fixated on. Others were also impressed with his smooth and radiant complexion, like @supatkelli, who wrote, “your skin is honestly 100.” Some were into the facial hair. “Can you imagine how more gorgeous he would be with a short scruffy beard,” commented @alleyalsn22.
A couple even took note of his eyebrows, speculating that they look to be microbladed. For a man who owns a tanning bed and spends almost a half an hour multiple times a day getting his hair just right, we wouldn’t put it past him.
