A SELFIE with Taylor Swift has seemingly backfired for New York Jets owner Woody Johnson.

The pop sensation has been at the center of the NFL the last two weeks as her rumored romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continues to heat up.

On Sunday, Taylor was in attendance at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to watch as Kelce and the Chiefs took on the New York Jets.

She watched the game from an executive suite for a second straight week alongside Travis' mom, Donna.

Alongside Taylor and Donna were Sophie Turner, Blake Lively, Hugh Jackman, and other celebrities.

And it turns out Taylor bumped into another famous face while at the game: Jets owner Johnson.

He and his son Jack posed for a snap with Taylor while at the game, captioning the shot on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Yup you guessed it… we're Swifties too."

But this hasn't gone down well with Jets fans in the hours since.

"Sell the team," urged one fan.

Another said: "Delete this, no pulse on the team or the fans. Ridiculous."

While a third said: "Swift is great and very talented but all of this has gone too far. After all, the game is what brings everyone together let's focus on that more and not so much who’s there."

JETS VS. CHIEFS

Sunday was a tough day for the Jets who came agonizingly close to an unexpected win over the Chiefs, before a fourth-quarter fumble by quarterback Zach Wilson led to a turnover that would all but seal the deal for Kansas City.

This loss leaves the Jets bottom of the AFC East at 1-3 ahead of their Week 5 game in Colorado against the Denver Broncos.

Not only did New York's loss frustrate fans, but Swift's continued domination of the headlines, social media, and the game's broadcast has also appeared to wear on some.

For example, NFL reporter Ari Meirov tweeted on Tuesday: "At some point this is just a little ridiculous…"

His tweet was accompanied by two screenshots of the NFL's X bio which included a cover photo compiled of Taylor at the game, as well as the caption: "We had the best day with you today."

At one point its bio also read: "Chiefs are 2-0 as Swifties."

Whether or not Taylor will be in attendance yet again this weekend remains to be seen.

Travis and the Chiefs will be traveling to Minneapolis to face the Minnesota Vikings as they look to maintain the top spot in the AFC West.
