A WOMAN has revealed how she was judged by a fellow mum for bringing her son to a “ballerina and pirates” party in a leotard and tights.
The British mother said on Mumsnet that the birthday girl’s mum had sent her an expletive-heavy text which claimed she didn’t stick to the theme.

The upset mum took to the forum to ask if she was being unreasonable in being offended at the text message.
She explained: “I sent DS [darling son] as a ballet dancer (as he does dancing), in his usual leotard, shorts, tights and ballet slippers. It's a very friendly community and no 'sissy' comments or opinions as far as I know.
“DS got nothing but compliments from other parents, children were just excited to see him and no child commented on his outfit.”
However, just 10 minutes after dropping him off, the mum had received the angry text from the party host.

She said the text had said: “So! You really had to put Joseph in something else didn't you!
“Why couldn't you stick to the theme? I think it's just unfair, if I'm honest. Not impressed. You aren't f****** sane.”
Many Mumsnet users were quick to say that she had done nothing wrong in letting her son wear the ballet attire.
Around 600 people responded to the post, most of whom were in full support for her.

One wrote: “That is very unkind. I wouldn't dignify it with an answer and just blank her from now on.”
Another added: “Oh dear. Your son stole her daughter's compliments. Had he turned up as a pirate he'd have received far fewer compliments, and her daughter would have received more. In her daft opinion.”
And one said: “It's impossible to reason with stupid people so I would just ignore the message. She's clearly being an idiot here.”
