Here’s the scoop – Marisol Avila, a 14-year-old girl, went missing after being last seen at a Houston ISD campus. It sent shockwaves through the community, and rightfully so. The Texas DPS even issued an Amber Alert to kickstart the search for Marisol. Now, you know it’s a big deal when an Amber Alert is in play.

Jeff Ehling, the ABC 13 reporter, had the chance to chat with Marisol’s mom, and what she shared was nothing short of a rollercoaster. Marisol was found in the Fifth Ward area and quickly whisked off to the hospital for a medical once-over. Thank goodness for that!

The Missing Pieces: Unanswered Questions!

But, hold on – the story doesn’t end there. There are still some missing pieces to this puzzle. Two individuals got questioned in connection with Marisol’s disappearance, and the authorities were treating it as an abduction. It’s like we’re in the middle of a real-life mystery novel!

Now, here’s where it gets a bit puzzling. Marisol was last seen at Marshall Middle School, and her phone, personal belongings, and even her social media accounts took an unexpected vacation. No digital breadcrumbs to follow, you know? But hey, the important part is that she’s been found, safe and sound.

The Find: Marisol Located, But Questions Remain!

So, drumroll, please! Marisol was located on Wednesday morning. The 14-year-old girl who had been on everyone’s minds was found. But, here’s the head-scratcher – we don’t have all the juicy details yet. Law enforcement confirmed the discovery, but they’re keeping mum about the hows and whys.

No one spilled the beans on where Marisol was found, if there were any arrests made, or why the Amber Alert took its sweet time, coming in around 36 hours after she was last spotted. It’s like watching a suspense movie without the big reveal! And when they were asked, the district spokesperson did the classic sidestep, mentioning an ongoing investigation and throwing in some legal jargon.

The Family Plea: A Heartfelt Call for Help!

Before the happy ending, Marisol’s mom took to the public, making a plea in Spanish, “Neighbours, gas stations, anyone who might have seen her, please speak with the police so that she can come back home. We are waiting for her, her sisters, and her father. We simply want her to return. We want her to be with us again.”

HISD also threw in their two cents, releasing a statement affirming their commitment to taking these situations seriously and prioritizing the safety of their students. It’s a community coming together, folks!

The Amber Alert Riddle: A Twist in the Tale!

But, and here’s a curveball, we’ve got a bit of an Amber Alert riddle in the mix. The Texas Department of Public Safety tossed a generic photo of a vehicle into the fray. A 1990 tan Subaru Forester with Texas license plates – that’s the ride they were looking for. But wait, no one spilled the beans on the license plate number. Talk about keeping us on our toes!

So, Eyewitness News went on a little detective adventure and found out that the golden Subaru belonged to a lady named Leticia. This is where it gets interesting – Leticia claimed that she was asked by her 14-year-old neighbor to pick up Marisol from school. Now, that’s a twist in the tale!

Leticia’s Side of the Story: A Neighborly Twist!

Hold on to your hats because Leticia’s got a side of the story too. She mentioned that she dropped the duo off, and that was that. But fast forward to Tuesday, around 6 p.m., and she hears about the Amber Alert, and guess whose car gets a shoutout? Yep, Leticia’s!

According to Leticia, the boy’s mother paid her a visit after the alert went out and explained that Marisol had been at their place until the alert hit the airwaves. It’s like a soap opera plot unfolding right on our doorstep. Leticia even spilled the beans that when the girl heard the Amber Alert, she apparently ran off into the street. The plot thickens!

The Plot Twist: Marisol and the 14-Year-Old Sleuth!

Here’s the grand reveal – the 14-year-old girl found in Columbus! But, hold your horses – it’s not Marisol, it’s Trinee Washington. She went missing nine months ago and was found in the company of a 41-year-old man. The U.S. Marshals and local authorities swooped in for a rescue, but the man’s identity and their relationship are still under wraps. It’s like a plot twist we didn’t see coming!

So, there you have it, folks – the whirlwind tale of Marisol Avila, from missing to found. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, community efforts, and a few unexpected twists. Here’s to hoping Marisol gets all the support she needs as she gets back to the warmth of home.
