McElhenney "humbled" by US experience
Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney has revealed he has been humbled by the support shown to his club in the US.
His Red Dragons beat the Red Devils but he was blown away before he even got to the stadium.
He told MUTV: “We're just so humbled by this entire experience, I mean, from the moment we landed.
“It took us about four hours to drive from Los Angeles. We sat in the traffic and I wasn't sure what to expect. And wow, I mean, this is just an incredible experience.
“You see thousands of people here and they're all wearing red. So we can't say for sure who they are rooting for.”
Ten Hag shares Wrexham disappointment
Erik ten Hag has urged his youthful Manchester United XI to learn from a difficult outing against Wrexham in California.
It was the first defeat of our pre-season thus far, with United fielding an entirely fledgling line-up barring the inclusion of the experienced Jonny Evans.
Ten Hag said to MUTV after the game: “We’re disappointed with ourselves.
“The way we played in the first half was a little bit erratic to the structure.
“We had some other objective that it was not [just] the result, but with young players we have to learn from it and I’m sure they will do.”
Paul Mullin shares update
Wrexham striker Paul Mullin has shared an update from hospital after suffering a punctured lung.
He thanked fans for the support he received in the caption of his hospital bed selfie.
Mullin wrote: "Thank you for all your messages! All good here."
Parkinson fumes at United star
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop should "steer clear" of him after Paul Mullin suffered a punctured lung.
He said: "It’s a clumsy challenge from the goalkeeper, I’m disappointed with that. It should have been a straight red. If it’s not denying a goalscoring opportunity, it’s still a dangerous challenge.
"So if you add the two scenarios together he should have been off the pitch. It’s a dangerous challenge and obviously, Paul Mullin is our talisman.
"I’m fuming about it, I’ve got to be honest with you. It was a clumsy, reckless, challenge in a pre-season game and I’m not happy with it at all.
"I haven’t seen the goalie and he’s probably best steering clear of us for the time being because we’re not very happy."
Bishop apologises for Mullin challenge
Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop has apologised to Paul Mullin after his challenge left the striker with a punctured lung.
He tweeted: "Just wanted to share my sincerest apologies to
@PMullin7.
"A complete misjudgement and a genuine accident with 0 malicious intent at all! Wishing you the speediest recovery and hope to see you back scoring goals as soon as possible!"
