LSU head coach speaks out
LSU head coach Jay Clark spoke out before the season opener.
“It’s going to be a great environment in the PMAC on Friday night as we host Ohio State," said Clark.
"They are a great up and coming team who made it to the round of 16 last year, which is difficult today with so many great teams. It’ll be a good test for us to get this season started.
"We’re excited to get in front of our fans. It’s always good when you can open the season at home before you have to go on the road and we’re expecting a big crowd tomorrow night.
"This team is as talented as I’ve ever coached and we’re excited to start with a clean slate."

LSU and Ohio State are kicking off their women’s gymnastics seasons!
Olivia Dunne and Elena Arenas will take center stage for The Tigers inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
LSU is the No. 3 ranked program in the country, while the Buckeyes are placed No. 14.
"It’s going to be a great environment in the PMAC on Friday night as we host Ohio State," said LSU head coach Jay Clark.
The meet will be televised on SEC Network with Kathy Johnson Clarke and Bart Conner on the call.
Ohio State will start the meet on uneven bars, followed by vault, floor, and beam.
The event is scheduled for 8:30 pm ET.
