Linden Stanley Blue (born 1936 in Meeker, Colorado) is a business executive in the aviation industry in the United States. The aircraft maker Spectrum Aeronautical, which he co-owns with General Atomics (where he serves as Vice Chairman), is another business venture of his. On the basis of his BA from Yale University, Blue went on to complete the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, where he graduated in 195On the 17th of December, 1955, he received his private pilot’s licence.
In 1958, while flying a single-engine Stinson Voyager over the jungles of Honduras, Blue had an engine failure that convinced him that twin-engine aircraft were the way to go. After being forced to land in Cuba when flying from Nicaragua in 1961, he was imprisoned for 12 days, just before to the Bay of Pigs assault.
