Reddit user u/AverageHorribleHuman said their neighbors live in a "flophouse" with eight people and most likely do not have running water.
According to the post, the author is a recovering addict who works overtime to pay for expenses including their wife's medical bills.
The writer's roommate got involved with the neighbors and, "has been going over there getting high" as well as allowing the neighbors in the author's apartment while they are gone working long hours.
The roommate is in the process of getting evicted, which adds extra pressure to the upsetting situation.

The author of the post said, "reasoning with them isn't an option," and asked the online community what to do in this situation.
One user suggested that the author get a child-proof lock for the outdoor spigot off of Amazon.
The author responded that ordering supplies might be an issue as the roommate steals the author's mail.
Another user recommended that the author call code enforcement, the fire marshall, and the police for trespassing.

"The house isn't habitable if there's no running water (code enforcement)," the user responded.
"And they're probably exceeding maximum occupancy (fire marshall)."
HorribleHuman then inquired about contacting these agencies anonymously saying the neighbors, "are strung out and have guns."
The author said he spoke with a friend of the sheriff who told HorribleHuman that a task force is being assembled.
However, the author expressed doubt saying, "I don't know what all that entails."
