"I don't believe what I just found," he says as the video zooms in on him picking up the gold coin and flipping it over.

It then cuts to Miller who asked, "Do you see the year on this find?"

The coin, engraved with an 1846 date, is a $2.50 gold dollar coin with a D mint mark that features a bust on the front and an eagle on the back.

Miller also claimed there's only 19,303 of these coins in the world.

"Even in not that great of condition, they sell for over 2,500," said Miller who showed a bid of the coin on the screen that was priced at $2,760.

Miller then revealed that the "higher grade" ones sell for over 11 grand and showed a bid of the coin on the screen that was once priced at $11,500.

He closed the video by claiming he's never found anything while metal detecting but he's happy for the original founder.

RARE GOLD COINS

From metal detecting, to finding valuable coins in a storage unit, rare finds can turn up anywhere and are often found in the most peculiar of places.

One woman found a rare coin while weeding carrots in her garden.

And a UK buyer recently found $115,000 worth of gold coins in an unlikely place — an old sock.

After finding over 300 coins, they sold them at auction for about £91,000.

The coins featured Queen Victoria and King George V and were minted as far back as the 19th century.

The coins, known as “sovereigns,” are made of gold and feature the monarchs of the time.

“It was like a walk through 300 years of history,” auctioneer Charles Hanson said. “The coins were in hot demand under the hammer because gold is sought after and prices are strong.”

A rare Stella coin was set to be auctioned off at Bonham's in Los Angeles on September 6, 2016, for $50,000 to $60,000.
