Barrie was alongside analyst Dan Mullens as the duo called one of the most well-liked college football bowl games.

And the broadcast team was given numerous types of mayonnaise to eat during the game.

In the first quarter, Barrie and Mullens taste-tested a spicy habanero-garlic flavored mayonnaise.

Mullens tested the flavor first and was impressed with the taste, saying: "Not a bad start."

Barrie was next to attempt the mayonnaise and also seemed to enjoy the flavor.

He then told viewers: "My mayo hormones are raging...That was fantastic.

"You know I love some spice."

All of a sudden, a play began and Barrie attempted to battle through making the call while still consuming the spicy mayonnaise.

On a first-down play, West Virginia's Garrett Green would throw an incompletion out of bounds.

Once the play was over, he said: "Actually, I don't know how smart it was to rip that habanero before calling a play."

A video of Barrie eating the mayonnaise went viral on X, and fans were horrified with the on-air sequence.

One commented: "Painful to listen to."

Another wrote: "Mayo is revolting, without question the worst condiment ever conceived."

A third stated: "Hard to watch."

Barrie and Mullens would also try bacon and tomato mayo and even mayo-flavored nachos.

West Virginia would go on to win 30-10.

After the game, Mountaineers head coach Neal Brown was dumped with a huge container full of mayo.
