No more fun and games in the Games.
In the latest, upcoming installment ofthe Hunger Games movies—Mockingjay – Part 1—Katniss Everdeen’s PR mentor, Effie (played by Elizabeth Banks), is headed to the District 13 bunker with her rebel of a champ. And that means she has to ditch the glam threads.
“Effie really finds herself having to what I like to call ‘Project Runway her way’ through the wardrobe that’s given to her,” Banks, 40, shared.

“It was like, okay, the shirt’s going to be a dress and the tights are going to be the sleeves of a shirt, the sweater’s going to go on my head,” the actress explained. “She can make anything fabulous!”

And indeed, looking at these stills from the much-anticipated film, in theaters Nov. 21, the former Capitol resident manages to look chic, even in her made-under state. Gone are the bold costumes, often pulled straight from the Alexander McQueen runway, but Effie still cleans up nice by matching her standard-issue gray uniform with a retro-chic slate headscarf.
