Sofia Vergara says being a young mom — she shares son Manolo, whom she gave birth to in 1992, with ex-husband Joe Gonzalez — had its benefits. “When I had Manolo, I was 19, and I had the energy for everything,” the Modern Family bombshell told Redbook in 2011. But it forced her to grow up quickly. “It’s a big responsibility; you can’t go out much at night,” she told the magazine. “Instead of buying a pair of shoes, you have to buy diapers. When you have a kid, you have to be more mature.”
Vergara married college sweetheart Gonzalez, when she was 18. They divorced two years later. She married Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello in November 2015.
