POPULAR food and snack brands have been teaming up with alcohol labels to create unusual boozy concoctions.
The latest to do so is Doritos — here's everything you need to know about their Nacho Cheese-flavored liquor and where you can buy it.

Where can I buy Doritos Nacho Cheese-flavored liquor?
On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, Doritos announced they were collaborating with Empirical to create Empirical x Doritos Nacho Cheese Spirit.
Tina Mahal, senior vice president of marketing for Frito-Lay North America said in a press release: "Doritos is all about disrupting culture and bringing our fans unexpected, bold experiences.
"We're always pushing our fans to try new things, so we figure it's time we disrupt the spirits category by offering our iconic nacho cheese flavor in a bottle."
The Doritos Nacho Cheese flavored liquor is available for pre-order beginning December 13, 2023.

Curious fans can pre-order the drink on the Empirical website. Additionally, the drink could be found in select New York and California stores.
Those who pre-order their drinks in December can expect to receive their bottle in January 2024.
How much is Empirical x Doritos Nacho Cheese Spirit?
The Empirical x Doritos Nacho Cheese Spirit is being sold for $65 online. The bottle is 750ml and has 42 percent ABV.
The ingredients include malted barley, Belgian Saison yeast 2, and Doritos Nacho Cheese.

According to the website, the liquor has flavor notes of nacho cheese, corn tostada, umami, and a hint of acidity.
It also states the spirit pairs best with cocktails such as a bloody mary or margarita.
The idea for a Doritos-flavored liquor originated after one of the Empirical staff members threw the chip into the still and was impressed.
"One day a team member returned from lunch with a sandwich and a bag of Doritos; I apologized and threw the Doritos in the still. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much- perhaps some top notes, or only the tortilla flavor," the website reads.
"But as the R&D team sipped it for the first time, we burst into laughter. We were drinking Doritos!
"Doritos touch on all the flavor points we crave as people. There’s that umami component, saltiness, a sort of sweet and sour tang, and a teeny bit of bitterness all in one bite; and most chefs will at some point admit that it’s a guilty pleasure they indulge in."

While Doritos isn't the first brand to enter the spirits industry, this concoction has fans on the edge.
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts.
"Now you can taste doritos before and after you throw up," said one user.
Another said: "They spent so much time trying to figure out if they could that they never questioned if they should."
While many have shared their distaste for the drink, some are excited to try it.
