Speculation that Destiny's Child could be reuniting has reached fever-pitch, and honestly, we don't blame fans for thinking that the trio could come together again as there are some very telling signs.
Currently, Queen Bey, aka Beyoncé, is finishing up the last few remaining dates of her smash-hit, sell-out Renaissance World Tour, which also saw her perform during her birthday on 4 September during a star-studded concert in Los Angeles, which brought out the likes of Kylie Jenner and her new man Timothée Chalamet, as well as Zendaya, Adele and more. During the concert, she was overcome with emotions as she listed all the things she was thankful for, which also included her Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams as well as their former members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett, which undeniably had the rumour mill churning.
And at around the same time, the official Destiny's Child website underwent a major transformation to the joy of thousands of fans across the globe. The new website now reads "25 years. New website coming soon," atop a clip of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams reuniting and performing together as Destiny's Child 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Of course, the message drove her fans wild and had them wondering whether there would be an "act ii" to her "act i | Renaissance", which could involve a Destiny's Child tour or reunion project of some sort.
TikTok user @dejaclift noted that Beyoncé's opening message at the beginning of each Renaissance Tour show was expressing gratitude for being able to perform for 25 years, which is how many years earlier her career with Destiny's Child took off. Meanwhile, convinced that the trio would be returning for a reunion, @themykaylacw proclaimed: "A new website coming? Is this album? Is this a tour? Beyoncé, I just recovered from Renaissance!"
Another person tweeted: "if Destiny's Child does a reunion tour next year… hell even a single show for the 25th anniversary. idc where i am in the world im flying & will be in attendance." A second added: "Not to be dramatic, a destiny's child reunion would break earth." A third noted: "Imagine if act II is the Destiny's Child reunion tour. Talk about planning. Obviously idk, but that'd be quite dope lol." The speculation and conversation surrounding their comeback were so intense that it even spawned the hashtag #DCReunion, which we're totally here for.
So, while we wait for some sort of confirmation on whether a Destiny's Child reunion will happen, you'll find us performing their hit songs like Say My Name, Lose My Breath, and Survivor with a hairbrush in hand, in front of the mirror.
GLAMOUR has contacted a spokesperson for Destiny's Child and will update this article with any news.
