Bell invented Adam as the son of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman), and he was born onscreen during the April 24, 1995 episode. Adam moved out of town two years after his birth and was raised by his mother in Kansas, where he grew up unaware that Victor was his father.
